Yes you can change your support… Just contact Immigration, get the proper forms and fill them out
to answer your question, yes.
but not for a year.
Yes Of Course, this a free country. All u gotta do is hire a lawyer and lay out the problems and ur desire to be relieved of responsibility. In which case if the Judge agrees which if legitimate he will agree the person who is being sponsored will have to fend for himself if he is able to or return home or be deported if he cant support himself. His stay in America is not a right but a privilege which can be terminated at any time the sposor changes his mind. In America we can change our minds even children can sue their parent to sever ties.
Yes they can, contact the same office where the sponsorship was filed
Congratulations, no, you can’t back out of this one.
This is taken directly from the form…..

How Long Does My Obligationas a Sponsor Continue?
Your obligation to support the immigrant(s) you are sponsoring in this affidavit of support will continue until the sponsored immigrant becomes a U.S. citizen, or can be credited with 40 qualifying quarters of work in the United States.Although 40 qualifying quarters of work (credits) generally equate to ten years of work, in certain cases the work of espouse or parent adds qualifying quarters. The Social Security Administration can provide information on how to count qualifying quarters (credits) of work. The obligation also ends if you or the sponsored immigrant dies or if the sponsored immigrant ceases to be a lawful permanent resident and departs the United States. Divorce does not end the sponsorship obligation.
If the immigrant has already adjusted status based on your affadavit of support you can’t back out. You are stuck with it for 10 years, or until the immigrant has 40 quarters of work, or until the immigrant becomes a citizen. If you think the immigrant used you for a visa you can make an infopass appointment with USCIS and show any evidence you have. This can be taken into account when the immigrant meets with immigration.
If the immigrant has not yet adjusted status then you can withdraw the affadavit of support.
