In my job, we send out demand letter, wait 30 days, if no response, we send copy of demand along with a cover letter, if no response in 2 weeks, I start calling. The major thing is not letting your statute run without your attorney filing a lawsuit to preserve your rights.
If the demand included all of the needed documentation, then the adjuster will evaluate your claim as soon as he/she can. Adjusters want to resolve claims and get them off of their assignment as soon as possible.
