What happens to the immigration reforms if the government changes in Canada?

They have spent so much time and money on consultations and research about what types of immigrants are needed in Canada and they are soon to come out with conclusions. Will all those efforts just do down the drain if Harper’s govt leaves office or if Diane Finley is no more the Immigration Minister?

Once a bill has been passed in the senate the new government can not change it without going through the process again in the house and has to pass through the senate. If it`s not passed through the senate they can scrap it.What about the law Harper put in,that made fixed elections in Canada. The prime minister is not aloud to call an election when they feel like it.Harper’s breaking his own law.He did not follow the liberal law on campaign funding because he does not follow there laws, and now he refuses to follow his own laws. This guy has to go.I have no trust in a man that say`s one thing and does another and has no respect for the law..The liberals spend millions on a study. What to do with the marijuana problem? The study came out that it should be legal. They put a bill in decriminalizing it,and Harper scraped it along with anything else that was in the senate at the time.If it`s passed nothing, if it`s still in the senate then it could easily be scraped by a new government.
