deportation hearings my be in two parts. first to get you out 2500. plus bail, need 10% for bail bond but credit card or house for the say 7500. bail amount. cash would be 20% or 1250.00. the lawyer then charges 3500.00 to make probably 3 deportation hearings. If they are real nice maybe they will throw in starting your papers.
For a visa (work) they are limited so be ware. No they may tell you they can, but if the person is here and has been caught before the chances are 1, 5, or 10 years no entrance.
For instance— stepson married usa cit had a child and when it was time to pick up his visa in ciudad juarez. he was told he would have to wait a year—he was the sole support of this family and now he is gone. He did not use a lawyer.

Most immigration lawyers charge between $100-300, or a flat fee based on your case. Since a retainer is an up-front fee, it is calculated as:
    (a) a percentage of the flat fee the attorney usually charges, or
    (b) hourly fee based on the number of actual hours he puts into your case
